My scary high school Teacher!
Her name is Yolanda Piccardo! (I'll never forget her name hahahaha). She was the oldest, the strictest and the scariest teacher in my high school! When I was a 7th grader, I was really scare of her! She always started her classes yelling at us! She was so bitter! No one in the entire high school wanted to have classes with her! hahahaha but we had no choice, because she was the only teacher who was in charge of "Historia Universal" hahaha. My high school was very small, that is why we only had that choice!. And when you thought that you won't see her again next year, she will be your teacher in another subject! hahaha yeah, she was a very complete teacher!. I have to admit that I spent all my high school being afraid of her! I felt afraid everytime I had to talk to her. In her classes, no one said a word, unless she asked us something! We were like in a military school in each of her classes! but because of that she was the most respected teacher in my high school! After of being afraid of her, in my last year I started to analize her, and I discovered that she was an excellent person, she was like that just because she wanted to teach us respect! And she did! I remember that I had the best grades in her subjects because of that! Somehow she made me a better student! She pushed us to the limit in every aspect of our lives! And after being my scary teacher, she became one of my favorite teachers! I have had more teachers like her, but she is always in my mind beacuse she had to work with teenagers, and I believe that is the worst stage of a person's life! Which made her job a lot more difficult!

My favorite holiday!
I decided to spend my New Year's Eve 2010 in Bucaramanga! (At that point, I was still living in Venezuela). I needed a time off from my crazy and chaotic city (Caracas), so I told my family "I'm going to travel to Colombia. Who's going with me?". I do not know how hahaha but I conviced them all!. I traveled here with the idea of spending a different holiday! and it was different! hahaha for that holiday is the reason I am living here now!. I did not do something special, but it's my favorite holiday because I could be with my family! We used to had dinner together on Christmas and New year's Eve, but we did not use to spend the whole day together, and that day, we could! My sister couldn't go to her boyfriend's house, my brother couldn't go to his friends' house, I couldn't go out with my friends after dinner! hahaha and I loved that we couldn't do those things! because we needed a time for us, to reconnect us as a family! We were happy! That day we remembered how much we love each other! That was the only thing that made it special! At that point in my life I did not know how difficult is not to be with the people you love in those days!. To be honest with you, I did not like Christmas and New year's Eve. I was like "The Grinch". hahaha but now I do not see that date as a holiday, I see it as my chance to be with my family!. Since that New Year's Eve, we haven't had another holiday together! That is why my goal for this year is to be with them, there in my beautiful city, and be able to see this with my own eyes!
Isn't this beautiful? ... This is how my city actually looks on a New Year's Eve!

I used to dream....
I used to dream that I would be the best Vet in the whole world!!! hahaha
Yeah! That was my dream profession when I was a child! I think this is a pretty common dream in little kids, and I was not the exception! I have always loved animals, speacially dogs! I have had dogs almost my entirely life! I believe that when you are a child you do not know what life can be! You always think that everything you do, would change the world! I wanted to be a Vet because I wanted to cure all the animals! So that I could stop animal cruelty!. I always thought, that would be my profession, but things changed when I grew! It was not easy for me to study that! For many reasons, money, distance, college, etc.! But I think I still have my inner Vet with me! I am a grown woman now! With different desires and dreams! but I can stop thinking how life could have been for me, if I were studiyng to become a Vet! But, anyway, if we think things straight, I can still change the world as a TEACHER!!! right???

Memories on a shirt!
I used to keep things in a box, I really liked that! I kept everything that I thought can have a meaning for me! but I do not do that anymore! Not because I have grown since then, but just beacuse I have moved several times in my life! Sometimes it's pretty difficult to take my memories everywhere I go. But, there are some things that I do keep with me. My old school shirts!
Yeah! It sounds a little bit common to keep these things, but the only reason I still have my shirts, it's because in Venezuela we have a tradition. When you pass from the sixth grade to the seventh grade, from the ninth grade to the tenth grade and in the last year when you graduate from high school, your friends, schoolmates and teachers write messages on your shirt! We do it in those grades because in Venezuela we have an uniform for every school, not like here in Colombia, that each school has its own uniform. So that, in Primary school you wear a white shirt, in Elementary school you wear a blue shirt and in High School you wear a beige shirt! So, you change the color of your shirt in those grades!. because of that you have to celebrate it! The last day of school, you have to take with you at least 3 shirts, with a bunch of markers! And the fun starts, you have to think and write messages to all of your classmates!. I keep my shirts with those messages, because I always have liked to remember who I used to be when I was a certain age! Who was my BFF in that time! Who studied with me! All the experiences that I had! Everything! With some words you can have a flash back of your past! I think, that is really cool! I love to read my shirts every time I move ( and believe me they have been a lot of times!) hahaha so I am always thinking of my old friends! hahaha I think that High School, it's one of the best time of a person's life! In that stage, you discover yourself! You decide who you want to be in a future! It's a good stage!. I have kept awesome memories with those shirts! I always read a message in particularly, beacuse that friend died 4 years ago! but, once again, I think this is what life should be! A daily struggle! A fight! A trip! An amazing journey!
That is why I love to remember who I was, because with that I can remember who I am now, and who I want to be in a future!. So that, those shirts are my dear old stuffs!

Surreal life in Disney World!
Thirteen years ago, I had the best vacations a child could have! I went to Orlando, Florida, U.S.A., I spent two weeks visiting parks all around DISNEY WORLD! You will probably think that it is pretty common to want that when you are a child, but the truth is that I had never thought about going there! That trip was a gift, I went with my friends of the theatre company! I was really young and childish, at that point going to another country beside Colombia was impossible for me! It was a surreal experience because when you are over there it does not matter if you a are a child or an adult, you will feel like a 5 year-old kid in a candy store! It's amazing how things are there! Everything is like a dream! I couldn't believe I was in every place and in every park that I had seen on T.V.! Each day spent there was better than the day before! Throughout my trip I visited many interesting places and I fell in love with that city! I only had one disappointment, the castle is just a hollow structure! Hahaha I had imagined that the castle was the best house ever! Hahaha but no! It was not! but it is in fact really cool because you have all those characters, that you have seen everywhere, inside the castle and you can take pictures with them! I think that every person should go to Disney World! It is a once in a lifetime experience and you will not regret about that! I have to be honest with you, I want to feel like a child again! That is why I will come back to Disney World one day!

My first payment!
I'll never forget the first time I earned my own money and got my first payment! I was 7 years old (yeah, I know that was illegal hahaha) and I was in Bucaramanga on my Christmas vacations! I was an uneasy girl and I always wanted to do something all day! Now that I think, maybe that was the reason I worked at that young age! hahaha. I remembered that my mom talked with our neighbor and asked him If he had something, at his bakery shop, that I could do easily... Surprisingly, he said " Yes"! So, I started to work from 9 am to 3 pm. It was the easiest job ever, I only had to put four small breads into a plastic bag! I have always been a hard- working girl, I was on time everyday at the bakery shop! After one week my boss told me: "Erika, come to the office, I want to talk to you!", I thought he was going to tell me something about all the "roscones" I had eaten! Hahaha but no, he gave me $ 9.500! I was in shock! I felt like the richest kid in the world! I couldn`t resist my excitement, so I ran towards my mom and told her: "Mom, look! My first payment! I'm rich! I want to keep working every time we come on vacations!" She laughed and told me: "OK, but don't spend all your money in candies!... I did it! hahaha But, I always have remebered that day!... I am a big girl now and I have been working for almost ten years! But I'll never forget the day I got my first payment!
A little bit about me!
Well Guys, This is me! ;)
